POGGIO AL TESORO HARVEST DIARY | DIARIO DELLA VENDEMMIA 21 Poggio al Tesoro’s winemaker since 2012, this year Lorenzo decided to conclude his journey in Bolgheri, to return to his beloved Veneto, together with his family, which grew in 2021! He will not leave the great Allegrini family, however, but continue his collaboration, in Valpolicella. Lorenzo, in three words, how would you sum up your adventure at Poggio al Tesoro, what is the most precious thing you will take with you? It is difficult to sum up my experience at Poggio al Tesoro in a few words because I consider it not just an adventure, but a path in life that has given me so much, taught me so many things about this work and gifted me joy and gratification. Tenacity, patience and sacrifice have been constant companions, but I have always been repaid with enormous satisfaction and also loads of fun. This is because underpinning everything, I have always felt a strong passion that I have shared with a wonderful team, which in turn has enriched my cultural and professional, but above all, human wealth of experience: this is certainly the most precious thing I will carry with me forever. What are your prospects for the future? My prospects for the future are to continue to make my contribution to the Allegrini company, where I have found the same values I cherish, which is why I feel part of a large family. I hope to continue to grow and learn with the same passion, with an eye always open to change, treasuring the past and its traditions. Will you come back to visit us, at Poggio al Tesoro? I will certainly come and visit, I have more than 100 reasons to come back!! I cannot forget how these years at Poggio al Tesoro have been fundamental for my training and my professional development. Although my path continues within the Allegrini family, for me, Poggio al Tesoro embodies the origins of my career: it is a place I will remain connected to forever, affectionate and grateful forever.
