Particolarmente vocati per questo vitigno sono i terreni ad Est della strada bolgherese, dove raggiunge maturazioni ottimali. I vini ottenuti sono particolarmente raffinati, concentrati ma eleganti, speziati ed intensi con un piacevolissimo sentore di erbe mediterranee. Il suo notevole apporto tannico la rende una varietà utile per accrescere la struttura dei vini. Petit Verdot is characterized by late ripening and therefore offers excellent results in areas where the climate is very sunny, warm but constantly breezy, with little rainfall during the developmental phase. Its remarkable tannic contribution makes it a useful variety to increase the structure of wines.
